Lee Ann Womack – Hollywood

L’album The Lonely, The Lonesome & The Gone è prodotto dal marito e collega Frank Liddell (vincitore dell’Album of the Year agli ACM Awards 2017 con l’album The Weight of These Wings di Miranda Lambert), The Lonely, The Lonesome & The Gone unisce sapientemente country, soul, gospel e blues, sonorità distintive delle sue radici texane, e consolida una carriera iniziata nel 2005 con il riconoscimento di Album of the Year ai CMA per il disco There’s More Where That Came From.

Come afferma la stessa Lee Ann, “I wanted to get out of Nashville, and tap the deep music and vibe of East Texas. I wanted to make sure this record had a lot of soul in it, because real country music has soul. I wanted to remind people of that”.

Take the Devil Out of Me”, incisa nello stesso luogo dell’originale.

The Lonely, The Lonesome & The Gone segue l’acclamato disco di Lee Ann del 2014 The Way I’m Livin’, definito da SPIN “the best of her career”.
